The Story Plot
The story is about people living in Gokuldham Co-operative Housing Society, Mumbai. There are families from different parts of India such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, and South India that live in the society. Even though they have different cultures, they live as one big family.
The story mainly revolves around Jethalal Gada and his daily problems. It could be troubles at his electronics shop or getting mixed up with his family, small quarrels – there is always something happening around Jethalal. When he is in trouble, he goes to his best friend Taarak Mehta who guides him out of the situation. Taarak is often compared to a “Fire Brigade” as he always comes to his rescue.
In addition to Jethalal’s life, the show also depicts different festivals, social messages, and scenes of laughter involving all the members of the society. The show combines fun with valuable messages through awareness programs and various community events. The story essentially illustrates friendship, unity, and joyful co-existence.
