Show Timing, Channel & Where to Watch
StarPlus has been regularly telecasting Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for many years. The shooting was stopped for some time in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, but the show was back and continued its airing from July 2020. It has been airing daily with other StarPlus shows since October 2022. Anyone who misses the episode telecast on TV can watch it at any time on Disney+ Hotstar.
The Story So Far (Four Generations)
Generation 1: Akshara and Naitik
The narrative started with the traditional arranged marriage of Akshara and Naitik. Both of them were from big Marwari families in Udaipur. At the beginning, they hardly understood each other, but with time, their bond got stronger. They became parents of two kids, Naksh and Naira.
Generation 2: Naira and Kartik
As the plot had a time leap, the focus moved to Naira and Kartik. Their love story was full of ups and downs, misunderstandings, separation, and emotional grief. Naira was believed to have died at one point, and later, a lookalike named Sirat was introduced.
Generation 3: Akshara and Abhimanyu
In the third generation, the main characters were Akshara, who is Naira’s daughter, and Dr. Abhimanyu Birla. The story of these two included a love triangle, getting married, divorces, and a lot of emotional turmoil. At one point, Akshara married Abhinav just to have a child, but very soon, fate intertwined her and Abhimanyu’s paths again
Generation 4: Abhira and Armaan
Presently, the story is based on the relationship between Abhira and Armaan Poddar. At first, it was a marriage of convenience, which later grew into love and understanding. Nowadays, the plot delves into issues of a modern family, such as separation, infertility, surrogacy, and emotional recovery.
