Story Plot Explained
The story of Gharwali Pedwali is about Jeetu whose life has always revolved around the number two. He was passed on by two families and has always done everything in pairs.
Just before his wedding, an astrologer tells him to get married to a tree symbolically first so that there won’t be any problems in his real married life. But, the tree changes into a spirit called Latika when the ritual was done. She thinks that since the ceremony was held, she should be considered Jeetu’s real wife.
Meanwhile, Jeetu marries Savi, who is an ordinary human female. Now, he is caught in a situation of having two wives, like one legally and human, and the other a ghost who demands her right in his life. The scenario results in hilarious, heart-touching, and disorderly moments.
The series does not emphasize the aspect of horror. Rather, it keeps the narrative light and funny while illustrating how Jeetu is juggling with relationships, family pressure, and bewilderment.
