Story Plot Explained
The story of Ganesh Kartikey lies with Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and their two sons, Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikey. The difference from other mythological shows, which mainly focus on battles and miracles, here is that more attention is given to family emotions and relationships.
Ganesh and Kartikey are quite different from each other. Ganesh is a composed, smart, and considerate person, whereas Kartikey is courageous, tough, and a skilled fighter by nature. Thus, due to these differences and respective duties, gradually misunderstanding and rivalry get the better of them. Kartikey is struggling with a sense of being let down and fate, while Ganesh is wrestling with the issue of his identity and at the same time craving family acceptance and love.
The show showcases the brothers’ bond, parents’ love, and the struggles even a divine family can have. Besides spending time with family, the story also includes various mythological events, appearances of gods such as Brahma and Vishnu, as well as demons like Sindhurasur, Surapadma, and Kalkeya.
